Treatment
Ultherapy — from $490
Botox relaxes. It can't lift. This is the part that lifts.
Ultherapy is a non-invasive, FDA-cleared treatment that uses focused ultrasound energy to reach deep beneath the skin, targeting the same support layer addressed in surgical facelifts. This stimulates your body's own collagen production for a gradual, natural-looking lift and tightening. Results build over 3–6 months, with minimal downtime.

What bothers you most?
Lower face
300 shots
The jawline is where lifting shows most. Most people start here with 300 shots. 600 is for heavier lower faces.
Who gets it here
- Wondering if it's too early? Most of our Ultherapy clients are in their 30s.
- Wondering if you need the whole face? Most people start with the lower face only.
- Already coming in for Xeomin? One in three does both on the same day.
We only use Ultherapy PRIME
PRIME is the current generation of the device, made by Merz. Two things make it different from older Ultherapy systems:
It shows us what's underneath. PRIME gives real-time ultrasound visualisation of the tissue layers, so your provider can see the depth being treated rather than estimating it.
It won't fire without confirmed contact. A pressure sensor checks the applicator is properly against your skin before any energy is delivered.
Together those mean the device itself enforces the technique, rather than the result depending on how experienced the individual provider is. That's the whole idea behind how we work: whoever treats you, the result should be the same.

What Korean dermatologists say
Korean dermatologists explain this treatment in more detail than most English sources. Two worth watching:
Ultherapy PRIME in 2026: who it works for, who it does not, and where it works best (Korean, auto-translated captions)
Who should think twice about Ultherapy, and why seeing the layer matters on thin faces (Korean, auto-translated captions)
These doctors are not affiliated with SeoulSkin and do not endorse us.
The honest part
Will it hollow my cheeks?
It's the right question to ask. Ultrasound that lands in the wrong place can thin out facial fat, and it has happened to people.
We check the layer on screen before every line and don't fire unless we can see it. We work mostly along the jawline and under the chin, where lifting shows and hollowing risk is low. We stay away from the middle of the cheek on thinner faces.
If your face is already lean, your provider may tell you Ultherapy isn't a good fit. If so, there's no charge.
What it won't do
- Add volume
- Replace a surgical lift
- Remove extra skin
- Show overnight
When you'll see it
If you have a wedding, a trip or a shoot, count back three months. That is the latest you want to book.
Ultherapy takes up to an hour and is only at our K-town location, so slots are fewer than for Xeomin.
If you already get Xeomin with us
You're already looking after lines. Lifting is the half Xeomin can't do: it relaxes muscle, it doesn't tighten what sits above it.
Both can be done on one visit when your skin tolerates it. Ultherapy goes first.
Is Ultherapy the same as HIFU?
Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound, the same family of technology people call HIFU. Ultraformer and Shurink are other HIFU devices. We offer Ultherapy PRIME only.
Does it hurt?
Ultherapy PRIME is a newer device which many clients find noticeably more comfortable than older ultrasound lifting systems.
That said, you will still feel it. Each pulse delivers a brief warm or zapping sensation as the energy reaches deep beneath the skin. Areas with more padding (cheeks) tend to feel milder; areas closer to bone (jawline, cheekbone, brow) tend to feel more intense.
We apply numbing cream beforehand, and you're welcome to take acetaminophen 30–60 minutes before your appointment for extra comfort. Most clients find it manageable, especially since each pulse is brief.
Questions people ask first
- 300 shots or 600?
- Most people start with 300 on the lower face. 600 adds shots to heavier areas such as jowls and under the chin.
- I have crowns or braces. Can I still do it?
- Usually yes. Metal near the treatment line can make a pulse feel sharper, so tell us where it is. We place gauze between your cheek and teeth and skip a line if it is uncomfortable. Implants directly under a line are not treated.
- I had it somewhere else and saw nothing. Why?
- Results depend on reaching the right layer and on how much laxity there was to begin with. Bring what you know about your last session and we'll tell you honestly whether another one makes sense.
Before and after your treatment
Before your treatment
- 5 days — no NSAIDs or supplements (aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil/omega-3, vitamin E, herbal supplements). Ultherapy can bruise over bony areas and these increase that risk.
- 2 weeks — avoid tanning and strong sun. Recently tanned skin is more reactive and more prone to pigment changes.
- Tell us before booking if you've had filler in the treatment area. Ultherapy's heat can break it down, so we recommend waiting at least 3 months.
- 1 month — if you've taken isotretinoin (Accutane) within the past month, we'll need to reschedule.
- For comfort — you may take acetaminophen (Tylenol) 30–60 minutes before. Not ibuprofen or other anti-inflammatories; they increase bruising.
After your treatment
- Right away — minimal downtime. You can return to your normal routine.
- 48 hours — no sauna, steam or hot yoga.
- 1–2 weeks — mild redness, swelling, tingling or tenderness is normal and settles in this window.
- 2 weeks — SPF 50+ daily. Avoid strong facial massage or pressure.
